Leicester Cathedral’s Richard III plans approved

It was announced today that plans to refit Leicester Cathedral, including a new tomb for the remains of Richard III and bespoke furniture for both the nave and chapel created by Luke Hughes, have been approved by the Church of England’s planning panel. The refit is in collaboration with van Heyningen and Haward architects..

A judicial review is currently underway over approving the re-internment of Richard II’s remains, we’ll keep you updated on the projects progress. Until then, read more about the Cathedral’s Richard III project here.
