JUNIOR FURNITURE DESIGNER
Position:
We are currently looking to employ a graduate or junior designer with up to 2 years industry experience to join the design team. The role will involve working on all aspects of the design process from initial brief, space planning, design detailing, attending client meetings, site surveys and 3D visuals through to final manufacturing drawings. The successful candidate must show outstanding technical competence and knowledge of the draughtsmanship required for manufacture. We are seeking a well-presented and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about furniture design and keen to learn and develop into a confident all-rounder. An interest in and knowledge of architecture would be an advantage.
Required skills and attributes:
- Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks
- Good design degree
- Knowledge of other design and rendering packages - preferably Graphite and Cinema 4D
- Highly organised and self motivated
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to design in a range of materials - specifically wood, metal, glass and stone
- Thorough knowledge of construction techniques and manufacturing processes.
Salary will be dependent on experience.
