Materials
An understanding of materials is at the heart of our expertise. We are internationally renowned for our knowledge of wood, but perhaps less so for our experience with other materials, including glass, laminate, leather metals and stone.
Using old and new manufacturing techniques, steel alone can be pressed, brushed, hammered, milled, fabricated, cast, scored, stamped, etched, engraved, powder-coated or shot-peaned – and many other contemporary materials are equally flexible. Computer-aided manufacture plays a key part, too, allowing us to use materials in innovative ways and solving furniture problems on a fixed budget.
