Writing tablets
Detachable writing tablets in oak-veneered laminated plywood in the Queen’s Theatre at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, integrated with the auditorium seating. This lecture theatre was designed by Michael Hopkins & Partners and opened by the Queen in 1996. It is illustrated on the opening page for Lecture Theatres. Luke Hughes and Company designed the raked auditorium seating (which was integrated into the architecture) and the flip-up gallery seating, as well as the podium furniture (Trojan tables, Folio chairs, storage cupboards and trolleys).
