All Saints is recorded as a place of worship in the Domesday book, but is most noted for its 19th century interior fittings, which are thought to be the work of architect, Ninian Comper (1864 –1960).
Prior to our work at All Saints, the full impact of Comper’s work had been lost, due in no small part to the use of dark, muddled seating. Commissioned to help the church regain its former glory, we installed stacking pews. These provide greater flexibility and complement Comper’s original vision. More recently, we have designed and installed sanctuary furniture in the church.
