Built in 1819, the Theatre Royal, a Grade 1 listed building, is one of the last surviving Regency theatres in the United Kingdom and the only theatre in the National Trust’s portfolio still open to the public. We designed and produced furniture for it as part of a comprehensive restoration project, for which architects Levitt Berstein collected a RIBA award. We worked closely with architects and other project partners as part of a committed design team, helping to deliver a cost-effective project that also received a Civic Trust Commendation, the Crown Estate Conservation Award and the USITT Architectural Award.
