Sterling Memorial Library, Yale University

academic

In February 2018, Yale University Library's Manuscripts and Archives Department officially reopened in the Sterling Memorial Library following extensive renovation and adaptation.

Although the building was originally designed by James Gamble Rogers in 1931, we worked in close collaboration with New Haven architects Apicella + Bunton to design custom furniture that blends seamlessly with the Gothic Revival architecture.

New furniture included Folio chairs, electric sit-fall digital photography tables and cutom-made reading tables with inset marmoleum work surfaces.
