First designed for the Corpus Christi Jesuit Community, the Jesuit chair offered retired and elderly Jesuit priests comfortable, sturdy church seats.
These elegant church seats read beautifully together in straight rows or on the radius and are perfect in minimalist, mid-century modern and contemporary spaces. Using the same lower frame and seat as the Presider, Jesuit church seats can be arranged with the Presider chair and also therefore benefit from the option to have book cubbies link the frames together to offer seat-side storage.
Like all our chairs, Jesuit church seats are engineered for a 30-50+ year lifespan. All our church seats are also designed to be refurbished, helping to ensure that they can pass from generation to generation for decades. This all helps to ensure that carbon remains locked up for as long as possible.
Made from English Oak of the highest quality and sourced from sustainable forests, Jesuit church seats come with the finest Scottish leather upholstery as standard. The leather and fabric we supply is CAL117 rated. Architects or designers wishing to select their own material (COM) must specify a commercial grade fabric suitable for upholstery and local fire codes.
